Folksy Friday – Festival Season is upon us!

Festival season is upon us, and although I’ve not planned to go to any specifically this year, i certainly hope i get to cos you can’t beat the atmosphere of a good old festival! So whether it’s your first or your fiftieth, these items are sure to make you get in that festival mood!

Tipi’s are all the rage at festivals but if everyone has one, how will you tell yours apart?! Native Play Designs have come up with these Tipi flags, so never fear, you will find home once more. And if you haven’t got a tipi then I’m sure they’d still come in useful for marking your territory!
This really bright and fun picnic blanket from Rainbow Fairy Dust would be the perfect festival accessory, surely you would be the envy of all other festival goers with their shop bought blankets all looking the same, this one certainly stands out! I just love all the different fabrics used and it looks so cosy too! I’d probably end up wearing it!
With most festivals having no glass allowed on site, Crafty Folks leather flask would be perfect for carrying around your favourite tipple. 1 litre of your favourite tipple to be exact, but if you’re after something a little more petite, you can find that too in their shop which also has some really amazing pouches for carrying your other festival necessities in!
No festival would be complete without a silly hat, and many photos of you hugging random strangers whilst wearing it and grinning like a cheshire cat. Perfect for hiding that festival hair, these cute bear ears from Pixelated won’t even mess up your do cos they’re just a hair band! Yay! Now if you could look as perfectly polished as this young lady after 3 days at a festival you would have my applause!
I’ve never featured one of my own items in a Folksy Friday but today i just couldn’t resist, my wool felt dreads fit in so perfectly into the festival theme – I wore them last year when i went to Eden Festival and i love the fact that at the early hours of the morning i can pass out in  my bed and when i wake up later in the afternoon my hair won’t look any different! Yay! One less thing to worry about…just the panda eyes to sort out next πŸ˜‰ Available in any colours you so wish at Linziloop.

That’s it for this weeks Folksy Friday picks! Hope I’ve got you in the festival mood! Do tell me if you find any cool handmade shops at any festivals you go to! Sadly, one brilliant festival –  Glade –  has had to be cancelled this year so if you’re one of the thousands that bought tickets for that, i do hope you find a replacement festival and i hope one day this country will recognise that unsponsored none-corporate festivals truely do have great spirit and aren’t here to cause trouble but to bring enjoyment to many – so stop making it difficult for them! They enrich our lives!
